Everything you need to know to enjoy the 48th Annual Mimbela Family NorthEaster Parade.

The parade officially kicks off April 4, 2026 at 10:00 AM. We recommend arriving by 9:00 AM to secure your favorite viewing spot along Diana Drive or Hondo Pass!

Getting There & Parking

Stress-free arrival for your family

Bring your canopy and lawn chairs and watch along the parade route. Parking on neighborhood streets along Diana or Hondo Pass streets.

Please note that Diana Drive will be closed to through traffic starting at 9AM. Parade route will be closed

off until the end of the parade. We encourage carpooling and arriving early!

The Fun Doesn't End at the Finish Line

Join us at Nations Tobin Park for the Post-Parade Celebration.

Once the last float passes, the party is just beginning! From 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, enjoy:

  • Food Truck Row: Local El Paso favorites.

  • Community Booths: Meet the organizations that make the Northeast great.

  • Awards Ceremony: Join the Mimbela Family as we crown the winning floats!

When and where does the parade start?

The 48th Annual Parade kicks off on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM sharp. The starting line is at the corner of Hercules Ave and Diana Dr.

Is there an admission fee to watch the parade?

No! The NorthEaster Parade is a free community event. We encourage families from all over El Paso to bring their chairs to enjoy the celebration along the route.

What is the parade route for 2026?

The parade travels North on Diana Drive, turns right onto Hondo Pass, and concludes at Nations Tobin Park.

What time should I arrive to get a good spot?

We recommend arriving by 9 AM to find parking and secure a viewing spot along Diana Dr. or Hondo Pass.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, well-behaved pets are welcome! However, they must be on a leash at all times. Please be mindful of the loud music and large crowds, which may be stressful for some animals.

Can we throw candy from our float?

NO. For the safety of the children in our community, throwing candy or objects from moving vehicles is strictly prohibited. You are welcome to have walkers alongside your float hand out candy or flyers to the crowd.

What happens if it rains?

The NorthEaster Parade is a "Rain or Shine" event. We will only cancel or delay in the event of severe weather that poses a safety risk to participants and spectators. Check our Facebook page (@northeasterparade) for real-time updates on parade morning.

How do I get my trophy if I win a category?

Entries recognized for their outstanding unit will be contacted after the parade date.
